The show "Money Laundering & a Cascade of Hormones" in "Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 6" was a dedication to Ryan Davis who tragically died in the course of making the series. Davis was a respected audio engineer whose work was featured in many movies and television shows. In 50 episodes of "Young Sheldon," Davis proved to be a skilled mixer, mixing every audio component effortlessly. Davis was responsible for re-tooling the sound elements of each episode, including Adult Sheldon's narration. This added a layer of nostalgia to the show. He also helped to reveal Sheldon and Amy's future son's name on the season 4 premier in the episode "Young Sheldon." Davis has been able to contribute his talents to several of these thrilling prequel scenes during his time. Davis developed a more real "Young Sheldon" series between seasons 2-5 through the combination of throwback music, hilarious dialogue, suburban backdrop noise and gripping football match-ups. Davis has more freedom with this spin-off since there is no laugh track. As Davis left the show his final exam, there was confusion was over what was his role in the show as well as his name.
